These two vessels (left: “Peace,” right: “Justice”) were my contribution to the show Critical Mass: Metalsmithing at Cranbrook under Gary Griffin from October to November 2006. After 22 years as Artist-in-Residence and Head of the Department of Metalsmithing at Cranbrook Academy of Art, Gary Griffin retired in 2006 and moved his studio practice to New Mexico. "Critical Mass" celebrated Gary’s remarkable career and the 121 students who studied under him from 1985 through 2005.
